You have to hand it to Donald Trump. While the rest of the world frets about torture chambers, global warming and the general erosion of the United States' moral authority in a dangerously destabilised world, he has kept his eye unwaveringly on the only prize he cares about, which is making a killing in the overheated American property market.
His latest ambition: to become the lucky beneficiary of the single most expensive private home sale in the history of American luxury real estate. And, while he's about it, to promote the hell out of himself and his ambition to be the undisputed guru of shameless wealth, in an era with ever more to be ashamed about.
We already have Trump office towers and Trump casinos, Trump get-rich books and Trump University, at which online students can learn to emulate the master. There are Trump mobile phone ring tones and Trump bottled water and Trump suits and Trump ties.
The Donald has, most recently, taken to the airwaves, lending his face and his famously tortured hairdo to promote everything from fabric softener to pizza to credit cards. Most prominently of all, he has pioneered the television show The Apprentice, in which would-be Trump acolytes are subjected to multiple business-world tests and humiliations in a knock-out contest for supremacy.
His latest venture is, among other things, a cunning exercise in cross-marketing. The winner of last season's The Apprentice, a Florida property agent by the name of Kendra Todd, has spent the last several months reworking and remodelling a luxury villa on the Atlantic shores of Palm Beach, two hours north of Miami. now then now then.i don't normally post replies but the post back there is becoming slightly too typical on the forum recently.the two people currently putting all of their love into this new album are the same two people who held together the band during the mezzanine recordings and followed with 100th window in the face of total adversity and the nearly-end of the band .in the last 6 years we have recorded/used/discarded hundreds of tracks and songs-some absolute dub hip hop soul dirty guitar big beats and funky basslines.the choices we made on 100th after mez were based absolutely and simply on the principles that we have tried to stick with from blue lines-not to repeat ourselves-after mez we recorded hours of basslines and guitars and drums and discarded them for intricate layers of strings synths and electronic patterns because we wanted to do something different.from blue lines to protection and from protection to mezzanine and from mezzanine to 100th we have dissapointed and delighted people and have taken the rightious criticisms and would not have it any other way.i do not expect the response to the next album to be any different-bring it on-
we have got pile of dub tracks and hip hop grooves and classic samples and we may just stick em in the bottom drawer and lose the key and replace em with horns and blues coverd in fucked up guitar it will be new and interesting to us at least even if the rest of the world cares less-fucking love that always,
