it's very hard to tell what's good based on those live mp3's - the quality isn't so great, plus, most MA tracks sound very different when played by the live band. i just can't wait to hear the album.

There's a new recording available of the last Meltdown show on Dimeadozen. The torrent has'nt been completed yet but should be some time today:

hmmm a favorite- anyone that knows me will also know that i don't do favorites. just a tad to changable by nature to cling to one of anything. my CURRENT fave is Marakesh- tho that could change in an hour or so.
in regards to 16 Seeter- i wasn't that excited abt it really til i saw it live. the performance that Horace pulled last Sunday was fan-freaking-tastic. if the studio track comes anywhere near that it'll be great!

And one interesting thing.
'Dobro' sounds as Russian word 'добро' that could be translated as 'good' [noun]. ))

In Polish it's exactly the same word, without changed letters.
But I think the title comes from a name of a guitar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dobro - just like Harpischord. Harpischord happens to be my favourites.

Hi there how are you?
My favourite massive attack song is Teardrop
It reminds me a bit of this new singer called Zeya. Has anyone heard of her? My new summer pop song is definitely Dreams. It just makes me wanna dance!
Check her out at www.myspace.com/zeyamusic

Ok, here’s my 5 cents worth although, I expect I’ll completely change my mind again when I hear the album versions!! My fav’s so far are Marooned (like D’s vocals and generally everything! But, think the beat could be deeper?) and Marakesh (adore pretty much all of it).
For the rest:
All I want – like G’s vocals and the guitars. Not quite sold on Yolanda’s voice (sounded a bit wishy washy) and I thought it was missing something deeper, maybe a deeper base(?).

16 Seeter – good vocals by Horace, good beats etc but nothing that really grabbed me.

Kingpin – like pretty much everything about it. Although I’m still trying to work out if I find Stephanie’s voice great or annoying…

Harpsichord – ok but no parts really stand out for me, think I’ll like the album version better.

Red Light – I like the chaotic-ness of the music and prefer Stephanie’s voice in this one.

Dobro – adore the beats and can’t wait to hear the album version.

Marakesh, definitely Marakesh, but I haven't heard all of them... Yet. Oh my God, I can't believe I might hear these new pieces of diamonds in 3 days!

Hi All,

I think all the new tracks are good.. 16 seeter as well. Actually I can't decide, which one is the best..I'm sure the sounds of the tracks will be totally different after mixing the album... and this is what I like about MA.. I hope it will be really new and exciting, and different than the previous albums.. I would like more vocals by G on the record, and I liked D's vocal tracks as well.. There is not a single track I don't like.. Stephanie is absolutely great so as Yolanda.

I think the presentation of these tracks were really cool.. I would like if the sound of the album would be a bit acoustic, airy...but we will see hopefully early autumn (I'm an optimist)

And ¿where is G's participation? :(

I love "Red light" and "Harpichord", and like "All i want" and "Kingpin" very much.

"Dobro" sounds like best Floyd tunes.

A very good album is near. Great.

Right now I like Dobro the best, amazing song!

All I want and Maroneed comes after that. Though every new song sounds great, I guess I like those 3 best cause I've listened them the most.

BTW, anyone else find the vocals on the beginning of Dobro and Maroneed similiar to False Flags vocals? I at least find them very much alike, but maybe it's just 3D's voice :)

i really like the oriental motives in marakesh and dobro and reminded me a bit of some remixes. I was extremely happy when I heard all of them. Especially on live I really couldn't believe that the new album will be so good. thumbs up guy. looking forward to the album.

p.s. 16 seeter isn't boring at all!!!! horace is a guru :)

I have quite the same feelings about those percussions and atmosphere those songs have... The only song to feature as definite ethnic arrangement as those do, has actually been 'Inertia Creeps' and 'Back/She Comes' - omg, I even used to prefer that B-side to the original. Anyway, I'm really happy that those oriental influences are back. Looking forward to the studio versions.

I've just realised how great that song is. It's really hypnotic. Horace is pure magic, especially live...
